Authors Showcase: Shopping Is Murder by Carolyn Arnold

The Book: Shopping Is Murder

The Author: Carolyn Arnold

The Story: Sean and Sara have had just about enough shopping when screams fill the mall. A man has fallen–or was he pushed–to his death from the second level.

His widow is a childhood friend of Sara’s and she’s adamant her husband would never jump. With mall security dropping the ball and no seeming motive for murder, Sean and Sara are about to give up when one clue gets them that much closer.

It may just be enough to wrap up everything in time for the holidays.

THE MADISON KNIGHT SERIES falls neatly into the police procedural genre with murder investigations and forensics. Think Law & Order meets CSI. There is some foul language and limited graphic violence.

Review by America Daughter: Shopping Is Murder is another fun addition to the McKinley Mystery series. It begins with the suspicious falling death of a man at a local shopping mall, a man who happens to be the husband of one of Sara’s old friends. No matter what the police say,

Sara is convinced her friend’s husband could not have committed suicide. But getting to the truth behind what really happened is the best part and it’ll take the assistance of Sean and Sara’s old boss Jimmy to get to the bottom of it.

Like always, this series provides for a quick, fast-paced read with enjoyable characters, a dash of romance, plenty of mystery and a solid resolution.

Review by Amazon Customer: With Shopping is Murder, Carolyn Arnold has created the sixth installment of the McKinley Mysteries series. Like its predecessors, this is a very enjoyable read.

Sara and Sean did not really want to ‘take over’ a new case, especially if a former friend of Sara’s is involved. Suddenly they find themselves in the middle of their next mystery, aided by their friend Jim.

Shopping is Murder is entertaining with a thrill, a fast read, making you yearn to read the next installments as well.
