Daily Review: Noelle’s Golden Christmas by Tamie Dearen
December 2, 2017
A lovely Christmas romance filled with tenderness, healing and love.
When it comes to the Christmas season, Noelle Holiday is a real Scrooge…
December isn’t filled with the magic of Christmas for Noelle, just the looming dread she’s about to lose something else dear to her. Will she ever be rid of her Christmas curse?
When she adopts an injured shelter dog, she discovers the love of her life… a Golden Retriever named Abby. Perhaps being single is God’s plan for her, but at least she isn’t alone.
Her meddling family, however, is convinced she needs a man in her life. They introduce her to two irresistible men who couldn’t be more alike. Or more different. Both men sweep into her life, testing her faith, and stirring up desire and confusion in equal measure.
If she can just get through this humbug holiday without another heartache!
This sweet Christian Christmas Romance tells the story of a believer, struggling to implement her faith in her everyday walk and battling fear to find the agape love that drives it away.

I really enjoyed this book. The romance is just right for any time of year but especially perfect for the Christmas season. Noelle is so believable with her seemingly insurmountable sense of guilt over everything.
How she learns to deal with and perhaps start to overcome this is heartwarming. I highly recommend this novel and look forward to reading more by this author.

From early childhood, Noelle has been burdened by guilt. She is convinced that every bad thing that has happened to her or her family is the result of what she calls her “Christmas Curse.”
Always having considered herself mousey, Noelle is baffled when two handsome brothers start vying for her attention. Though she has strong feelings for one of the brothers, she believes that her father must have encouraged them to ask out ‘his daughter, so his feelings for her, can’t be real. It seems even the good things in her life can’t break through the barrier she’s erected around her heart.
I loved it when the author has Noelle’s wise father tell her that holding herself responsible for bad things happening around her is really selfishness. If we believe each of us has that power, then we’re not trusting that God truly has control in our lives.
Thank you, Tamie, for a lovely Christmas romance filled with tenderness, healing and love. I hope this wonderful book brings you joy during this Christmas season.
Loved it. Christian story, well written, good character development. Noelle didn’t like Christmas because her mother died on Christmas Eve some years ago. Noelle volunteered at an animal shelter..
A golden was brought in that had been hit by a car and she took it home with her until the owner could be located. The dog, Abby, made her feel less lonely. She met James at a party at her sister’s and she thought WOW.
She met David and thought double WOW. Could she date both of them? Both vied for her attention! She, being a good Christian, didn’t think she should do that. Noelle must choose but which one?
