FATHER TIME

Every morning he comes to the mountain fields outside of Lucerne, Switzerland.

He works.

He works hard.

He stays until dark.

Time means nothing to him.

Never has.

Never will.

He has a job to do.

It’s a hard job.

He doesn’t complain.

The years are trying to claim him.

He refuses to be claimed.

He doesn’t measure life by the days or weeks he has worked.

He only measures life by the breaths he takes.

Some believe he may live forever.

I called him Father Time.
